Biennale of Chianciano 2009

This post is dedicate to the Biennale of Chianciano, Italy, where I exhibit 2 of my paintings.

The title of my blog says "Irit Levy - mosaic artist", but those who know me know that I am more a painter than a mosaicist, merely from the fact that I have been painter for about 30 years, though for the last 2 years I am doing mainly mosaic.

A few months ago I was accepted to the Biennale of Chianciano. The excitement that followed the approval of my acceptance is beyond words. For a few minutes I couldn't speak complete sentences.

The Biennale was opened last Sunday. There's a lot of press and articles written about it. It was reviewed in the New York Times as well.

I haven't been there yet, but definitely planing to go to Chianciano towards the end of the months.
From the few photos and videos that some participates sent via emails it looks amazing.
I'll update more after I visit the exhibition.

Meanwhile here are 2 videos from the opening I found on the internet:

Cranberry? - 53.5x64 cm (21"x25") - acrylic on canvas
(this was also exhibited in Ciel Gallery in the All Red exhibition)
