Struggling

Started the background today of my turquoise new mosaic and I feel a bit lost. Started with this:
The Smalti wave seems too heavy, not in place and way too dominant.I have become addicted to working with Smalti and Ultramstic glue, and luckily caught on time and dismantle it when the glue was not yer dry.

Now it looks like this. It took me too long.............. I am not sure it is the final way I am going to do the background. My life could be easier if I only knew to plan ahead.....sigh.....
