The Cambodian connection

At the end of last year we spent about 2 months in Asia, most of it in Singapore (our previous much loved home). While there, we went to Siem Reap in Cambodia, definitely not for the first time, however, that time we visited the Honour Village, an orphanage where our daughter volunteered for a few months.
You cannot not be moved by beauty and happiness of the kids there. Each of them is a gem. You just want to pack them all and take them with you to be hugged for the rest of their lives.

The following paper cuts are derived from what I saw there.

They Can Only Dream - 50x65 cm

With Pink She Can Dream - 50x65 cm
(with a touch of acrylic for her glasses)

Even She Can Be Happy - A3

We Are Lovable - 50x65 cm

More details about these can be seen on my Flickr.

  1. Beautiful and moving Irit. My sister-in-law is in Cambodia currently doing volunteer work. I know this was a powerful experience.
