On Sunday evening, May 31st 2009, we - 8 mosaic artists, all ladies - met with Giulio Menossi and his wife in his studio for a welcome drink. Entering into his space, meeting him, seeing with my own two eyes the so familiar works... WOW !!! I touched every piece, let my fingers roll over every tile. Could you imagine...
Giulio told us that every piece of his 3D abstract contains a hidden animal and in an instance 8 ladies were sicking like children for the hidden creatures.
Words cannot describe the emotion and the thrill of spending so much time with the maestro. For the next 6 days Giulio dedicated his time to us. From as early as 8:30 in the morning to about 7:30 in the evening he was completely ours.
I set on his chair, I mess with his Smalti, and now I also own his hammer. What else can a girl ask...

What a wonderful experience for you, Irit! I'm envious, but someday, perhaps I'll have such an opportunity. I look forward to hearing what you learned while you were there!
